Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Ellie Tucker
I am Ellie Tucker the Elementary School Success worker at Gier. I have been working at Gier since the fall of 2017. At Gier, I am responsible for helping to meet the social-emotional needs of the students. I support students, parents, and staff so they have access to the resources they need to be successful at school. I enjoy providing classroom presentations, meeting with students indvidually, and in a variety of small groups. I am a graduate of Hillsdale High School, Hope College with a Bachelor's in Social Work (BSW), and the University of Michigan, with a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW). My previous work experience is in mental health settings working extensively with children, youth, and adults in out-patient, in-patient, and home/ community based settings. I love being in the school setting and encouraging our amazing students, collaborating with our dedicated staff, and coordinating with caring parents to help us all be resilient and kind to ourselves and others.
