1. Go into your classes with an open mind, there are a lot of different paths you can take with environmental science. Internships are a great way to learn about different disciplines and career possibilities.

2. AP English, Calculus, Environmental Science, and Chemistry

3. I would have made the most of the time I had with my friends while we were all in the same state. Going to an out-of-state school was a great decision for me, but it can make it hard to stay close to friends.

4. After freshman year, I studied geology all around Iceland for a month. Last fall I sailed across the Atlantic with SEA Semester, and now I'm on co-op in a lab at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution studying sediment cores from the Marshall Islands and Curacao.
